The premier tourist destination in Cromwell, Otago, Opened in March 2013, the facility features a 4.1-kilometre circuit, designed by drawing inspiration from some of the world's most famous race tracks.
Our Aotea Electric Cromwell team have recently had the opportunity to work with the Motorsport Park on providing the lighting and power supplies to their latest attraction - The 'Young Guns' Virtual Reality Experience. Step into the future of VR and take a ride in a Ferrari supercar around the famous Highlands track, with your choice of drivers such as 'Mad Mike' Whiddett, Hayden Paddon, Greg Murphy, Andrew Waite, Damon Leitch and Hunter McElrea. The 360 VR cinematography puts you right in the passenger seat for an unforgettable experience.
Earthstory's exclusive VR hardware configuration enables industrial-strength custom headset housings to float weightlessly in position and allows visitors to hold a headset against their face to enjoy fully articulated viewing.
The exhibition also offers several AV screens powered by the Aotea Electric Cromwell team, with exclusive driver interviews and a full hour of incredible racing highlights with spectacular crashes. Directional audio keeps the sound confined to a tight zone in front of each screen for a fully immersive experience.
