Paul has worked for Aotea since 1987 in many roles since starting as an electrician, and has been a big part of Aotea’s growth and evolution since that time. Paul accepted the role of CEO of Aotea Group in 2017 after many years as the General Manager of Aotea Electric Southern. Paul is a director of a number of Aotea companies and is perhaps Aotea’s most proactive and passionate advocate for business, customers, growth, recruitment, training and broader industry involvement. With Paul in your corner, you can be assured that he will drive to the outcome you need.

Chairman
Mike is the Area Manager of Aotea Electric Canterbury and Chairman of the AGHL board. He also holds a number of directorships in various group businesses. Mike is based in our Christchurch office.
Murray Hughes
Immediate Past Chairman
Immediate Past Chairman and one of the founders of the modern Aotea Group. Murray is based in our Dunedin office, but spends his time variously between Central Otago, Dunedin and a number of company locations.

Alistair is the CEO of Aotea Security which has branches located throughout New Zealand. Alistair is based in our Dunedin office.
Gary Thompson
Admin Manager of Aotea Electric Canterbury
Gary is the Administration Manager of Aotea Electric Canterbury. He also holds a number of directorships in various group businesses. Gary is based in our Christchurch office.

General Manager of Christchurch Electrical
Rex is the General Manager of Christchurch Electrical. He also manages Hanmer Alpine Electrical and The Heat Pump People. Rex is based in the Christchurch office.

Jarred is General Manager and a Director of Aotea Electric Bay Of Plenty. Jarred has extensive experience in electrical and security and began his career in 2001.
