Buzz Electrics are a dynamic electrical contracting and engineering company that provide quality electrical services to the industrial, commercial and domestic sectors, and have done since 1994. We pride ourselves on our quality workmanship, great customer service and relationships. We believe that having all of our shareholders and directors working within the company and having a hands on approach is the key to our success.

Buzz Electrics has currently has 22 full time staff in the Hawkes Bay including management and administration support staff.

Buzz Electrics have had two projects make the finals for the last 2 Master Electricians Excellence Awards (2017,2019) with the 2019 project picking up the silver medal in the project category under 1Million.

Buzz Electrics are SiteSafe members and are SiteWise Green Accredited.

Key Projects

Villa Maria Winery

Villa Maria Wines engaged Buzz Electrics to be their preferred contractor for the new winery build in Hawkes Bay. Buzz Electrics were chosen over other contractors for the project due to their proven capabilities within their industrial installation team, automation team and communications division.

B-Studio Brewhouse & Bottling Plant

Buzz Electrics were engaged to install state-of-the-art Krones equipment for B-Studio at their new premises located in the iconic, heritage listed Rothmans Building in Napier. Buzz Electrics installed all Krones equipment ranging from bottle fillers, can fillers, warming tunnels, multiple packaging and pallet wrap machines. This project was on a tight deadline to get beer out the door, but Buzz Electrics delivered another high class installation, and this target was met.

Visy Project Slim Upgrade

The Buzz Electrics Engineering team was instrumental in the design, installation and implementation of the upgrade and retrofit of the existing automation system at the Visy beverage can line. The job entailed precise shutdowns of specific areas of the canning lines to retro-fit new equipment. This intensive job was given the prestige of being nominated for an Excellence Award in the Automation Sector at the Master Electricians Excellence Awards 2017.

Pro-fruit Ltd

Pro-Fruit is one of the biggest apple juice concentrate producers in New Zealand and Buzz Electrics have been exclusively providing Electrical and Automation support on-site since 2013.

Harringstons Brewery

Working with Viniquip New Zealand, we designed, built and commissioned a line control system as part of a turn-key bottling and packaging line that runs at 4000 bottles per hour.

Wineworks Hawkes Bay

Wineworks are a contract bottling facility that bottles most of New Zealand’s wines. Buzz Electrics carried out the installation of line 2 which included a new still and sparkling filling machine, labellers, specialised capping equipment, warming tunnels, air dryers, carton erectors, carton packers and a comprehensive line control system. This job was completed on time and on budget and has capacity for the future.
