Aotea Electric Nelson was established in 2005 with an initial staff of 2, and has grown rapidly into one of Nelson’s most reliable and trusted electrical companies.

We currently have 18 full time staff across two interlinked departments of Contracting and Servicing with residential, commercial and industrial capabilities that focus on providing a high quality of service to the client enabling us to handle a wide variety of projects with confidence, knowledge and integrity.

Key Projects

Nelson Airport Terminal

Aotea Nelson delivered the Electrical and Security services to the new $32 million Nelson Airport redevelopment. The new terminal building was to be twice the size and include airline lounges, toilets and retail spaces, and the number of car parks to increase from 600 to 900 to cater for cater for the forecast growth to 1.4 million passengers in 2035. This project included a stylish, timber ceiling with uplighting.
