Nexans Solar Project

HEL Rimu in Taranaki has successfully built and commissioned its largest solar projects nationally to date at a major site in Bell Block, Taranaki.

With over 1,500 panels, 7 inverters, and more than 10,000 metres of cabling delivering 900+ amps per phase, this system now powers a significant portion of the site with clean energy, roughly equivalent to the carbon offset of growing 55,700 trees each year.

The project was also nationally recognised, earning Runner-Up in the SEANZ 2024 Awards for Best Grid-Connected System and named a Finalist in the Master Electricians Excellence Awards.

Now one of the largest ground-mounted solar installations in the region, this milestone highlights HEL Rimu's and Aotea's commitment to delivering technically complex, sustainable energy solutions.
