The Aotea team were contracted in to work on the Justice & Emergency Services Precinct in Christchurch which included the carpark, seismic bracing, services tunnel work and the installation of the UPS for the main building.
Fletcher Construction were facing an overall program issue and therefore contacted Aotea in late December 2016 requesting electrical services for the Justice & Emergency Precinct carpark building as a separate package of work to the main contract.
Aotea mobilised on the 9th of January 2016, and it quickly became apparent that there were many work fronts where Aotea could extend our services independently from the incumbent main electrical contractor. This included the carpark, seismic bracing, services tunnel work and the installation of the UPS for the main building.
Aotea remained on site for a total of 14 months employing 70 staff at the peak of the workload and completing a total of 62,752 hours of work and 6.4m of sales
Our mobilisation occurred during the height of the Christchurch earthquake rebuild and highlighted our ability to carry out complex and resource demanding projects using the substantial resources we have available, nationwide.
