Aotea Electric Auckland provides a wide range of electrical services and expertise to the entire Auckland region. Established in 1998, their team has grown from 12 to 150 people working in both the residential and commercial sectors. The Aotea Electric Auckland team wanted an online presence with their customer needs at the forefront that was fast, clean, intuitive and uniquely Auckland.
The Aotea Electric Auckland team knew it was time to make a place for themselves on the information highway, with the world of digital design and development moving so rapidly and many of their customers moving online, they wanted to provide their clients with a fast, clean and intuitive website that focused on usability.
"Our clients have always been at the heart of everything we do, so the first job on the list was to consider just what it was that they wanted/needed. Firstly information, Aotea Electric Auckland offer an expansive range of services in both the domestic and commercial arena but we didn't want our clients to get lost searching through mounds of information to find what they are looking for." - Carl Jackson, Head of Business Development
To avoid this their services are broken down into 3 sections, Residential, Commercial and Communication each linked to a clickable tile on the 'Home' page (as in the image below), making the information readily available from the moment they land on the home page. Each service then has a succinct descriptive blurb, and with the click of a button, this expands into an in-depth outline of the service selected, giving customers full control of the range of information they receive.
The next consideration was time. Life is busy amongst the hustle and bustle of New Zealand's largest metropolitan city, so it was key for their clients to be able to access the services swiftly and with ease. To combat this, clients are able to book a job directly from the website whether they're on mobile or desktop, using our 'Book a Job' tab in the navigation bar found at the top of each page. Whilst it’s early days, a recent survey commissioned by Aotea Electric Auckland indicated this is exactly what they wanted.
Once the job is complete they can then refer back to the Aotea Electric Auckland website to pay invoices via the 'Make a Payment tab', saving valuable time and essentially making the website a one-stop-shop. Customers can send feedback via the 'Contact' form or have the team answer any burning questions you may have regarding your upcoming projects.
