Women in Leadership Scholarships are awarded to women working in the construction and engineering sector to help support their participation in a range of online career building leadership development programs. The initiative provides junior through to executive women managers with scholarships to support their growth and development via participation in one of three flagship courses. Sarah Crawford from B&M Electrical was the proud receiver of this years scholarship.
Women and Leadership New Zealand is a national initiative dedicated to supporting a higher representation of female leadership throughout New Zealand’s public and private sector workforce and the broader community.

What sparked your interest in applying for the Women in Leadership scholarship?
After recently being promoted to my role as Service Manager I thought this would be a great opportunity to further my skills and gain some more knowledge and confidence around management and leadership.
What was the application process like?
It was all done online and was a very easy process. The level and speed of communication from Women in Leadership NZ was exceptional.
What are you looking forward to about the course? What are you hoping to get out of it?
All aspects of the course look interesting to me. I am hoping to grow myself in my role and become more of a strong confident leader for my team.
