Accounts Administrator

Exciting opportunity for a bright, enthusiastic and experienced accounts receivable administrator, with experience in credit control. 

In this role, you will be an excellent communicator and invoicing superstar, focussed on the timely delivery of invoices to our customers. You will also follow up overdue debt and assist with a variety of accounts functions.

You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to effectively multi-task, strong problem solving and relationship building skills, and a well-developed sense of initiative.

 

The successful applicant will carry out a range of processes, including:

  • Preparing and issuing invoices and payment claims.
  • Proactively recognising and resolving any issues before billing.
  • Recording and reconciling incoming payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintaining customer account records, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Processing new customer applications, setups and trade references.
  • Invoicing admin support on-charges & staff accounts.
  • Sending customer statements.
  • Proactively managing overdue debtors by calling clients and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Investigating any queries or disputes.
  • Escalating priority cases where necessary.
  • Analysing and maintaining Debtor reports.
  • Developing and building strong working relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Organising payments and refunds for overpayments.
  • Continually reviewing and streamlining Credit Control processes.

 

The applicant should also possess the following qualities:

  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills is an absolute must.
  • High level of integrity.
  • A positive approach and excellent customer service.
  • Solution-focused, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain a composed and professional manner.
  • Excellent conflict management and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Knowledge of payment claims and retentions is an advantage.
