About the Role:

Buzz Electrics is seeking a skilled and motivated Telecommunications Technician to join our growing team. This hands-on role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications systems, including structured cabling, fibre optics, wireless access points, and communication racks.

You’ll work across a variety of environments—from commercial and industrial to residential—delivering high-quality, safety-focused work. This is an opportunity to work with an experienced team on a wide range of projects and expand your skills in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, test, and certify Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fibre optic cabling systems
• Maintain and troubleshoot wireless networks, phone systems, and comms racks
• Interpret plans and specs for accurate installation
• Diagnose and repair faults in telecoms infrastructure
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and industry standards
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work vehicles
• Complete documentation: job sheets, test results, as-builts, etc.
• Collaborate professionally with clients, contractors, and team members
• Mentor and support apprentices and junior team members
• Stay up to date with evolving technologies and practices
• Support other departments within Buzz Electrics as required
