About the Role

As a Solar Installer, you’ll be part of a skilled team delivering innovative solar systems to residential and commercial clients. You’ll work closely with customers to ensure professional installations, and there is potential for flexible work hours, such as four 10-hour days.

Key Responsibilities

• Install solar panels, racking systems, and associated equipment on rooftops and ground-mounted arrays.
• Assist with installations on both new builds and existing properties.
• Maintain a high standard of work quality and site safety
• Provide courteous, professional service to clients during installations
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles
• Uphold Aotea’s commitment to Health & Safety and AS/NZS standards

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years’ experience as an EWRB registered electrician. If you do not have solar experience, full training will be provided.
• A mains parallel endorsement is a plus, but not required.
• Strong practical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to problem-solve and take ownership of tasks.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Full NZ driver’s license.
• Genuine interest in solar energy and sustainability.
