Aotea Electric Auckland is looking for a self-motivated and passionate Solar Electrician to be a part of something exciting! We are looking towards the future and preparing for the inevitable demand for sustainable energy within the Auckland area. We’re keen to expand our offering to our customers and need an experienced solar electrician to be at the forefront of our solar journey. 

This role will include:

• Install, maintain, and repair solar power systems, wiring systems and electrical equipment for Solar power. 
• Support and train the installation team in all solar installations, both residential and commercial.
• Helping with design and pricing for potential new jobs.
• An opportunity to grow with a new department from the ground up within an already established and well-known New Zealand Electrical company. 

The successful applicant must have:

• Must have a valid and current EWRB practising license and be familiar with the current electrical codes and regulations, including but not limited to AS/NZS 5033, 4077, 5139 and 4509.
• Vast knowledge of solar installations within the residential and commercial sector.
• Must be physically fit and confident to work at heights. 
• High level of communication and willingness to be the best. 
• Participate in training and upskilling to capture industry changes. 
• Team leader or supervisor experience preferred but not essential.
• Attention to detail and pride in what you do.
• Solar design and pricing experience.
• Time management. 
• Work well within a team.
