Credit Controller
Aotea Electric Auckland is looking for someone with excellent communication skills and experience in credit control. In this role, you will be responsible for following up on overdue debt, while demonstrating a customer first approach. Our ideal candidate will be confident in answering customer queries.
The ability to effectively multi-task, have strong problem solving and relationship building skills will be essential, as well as a well-developed sense of initiative, and the ability to work independently.
The successful applicant will carry out a range of processes, including:
- Pro-actively manage overdue debtors and calling overdue customers
- Investigate any queries or disputes
- Escalate priority cases where necessary
- Analyse and maintain Debtor reports
- Debtor applications
- New customer setups and trade references
- Continually review and streamline Credit Control processes
- Develop and build strong working relationships with internal and external parties
- Organise payment arrangements and refunds for over payments
The applicant should also possess the following qualities:
- Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills is an absolute must
- High level of integrity
- Maintain a positive approach and excellent customer service
- Solution-focused, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain a composed and professional manner
- Excellent conflict management and negotiating skills
- Strong team and customer relationship building skills
- Experience with MS Business Central and/or Workbench, preferable but not necessary
- A good knowledge of credit management, preferable but not necessary
